This past Saturday, May 17th, the grand finale of the 20th Anniversary Tournament of Ticket to Ride took place in Paris! 🚂🥖 A fitting celebration for one of the most beloved board games of the past two decades. The whole tournament was organized by Days of Wonder and hosted on Board Game Arena, and it brought together over 3,000 participants from across the globe. After months of competitive play, 8 finalists representing Canada, Hong Kong, Spain, the United States, , and Italy faced off in Paris. For the occasion, players were transported back to the early 1900s, competing in a real train car inspired by the legendary Orient Express. The final rounds took place on the South Korea and Europe maps to determine the 4 finalists, the final happened on the original United States map, celebrating its own 20th anniversary. 🗺️ Congratulations to Angelo from Italy, who played north of 3.5K of Ticket to Ride on the Board Game Arena platform, for winning the Grand Final of this fantastic tournament! 🏆 The event was streamed live on Twitch with Un Monde de Jeux and Penelope_Gaming, featuring special guests including illustrator Julien Delval, teams from BoardGameGeek and The Dice Tower, and French content creators Marie Grd Jeux and Simon from Le e Temps.

A month ago, Asmodee hosted the third edition of Canada’s premiere tabletop game trade show and conference experience, Canada Plays. 🍁 This year’s event took place at the White Oaks Resort & Spa in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Over 330 people, including 221 retailers and 91 vendors were present for this exclusive event that included a trade show floor, conferences and fun activations, like Karaoké, a live RPG event, a speed puzzle contest, tournaments and much more. 🎲 ⚔️ 🎤 Now in its third year, Canada Plays has firmly established itself as a must-attend event on the Canadian tabletop calendar. The Golden Geek Awards from BoardGameGeek, the largest community dedicated to tabletop gaming, were revealed last week, and we’re thrilled to see three (not two!!) of our games receive awards! 🥳 Harmonies, designed by Johan Benvenuto with fantastic art by Maëva Da Silva and published by LIBELLUD, was named Medium Game of the Year! 🦁👑 The Fellowship of the Ring™: Trick-Taking Game, designed by Bryan Bornmueller with artists Elaine Ryan and Samuel R. Shimota and published by Office Dog, won Best Cooperative Game of the Year! 🧙🏻♂️ The Lord of the Rings™: Duel for Middle-earth, designed by Antoine Bauza and Bruno Cathala, with the beautiful artwork from Vincent Dutrait and published by Repos Production won the Best 2-Player Game of the year! 🧙🏻♂️🧙🏻♂️ Thank you to everyone who voted for these fantastic games. 🙌 Congratulations to all our teams involved, to all the nominees from our studios and all the others games who made it to the finals!

Ludifest in Chile happened this past weekend with around 6,000 attendees! ✨ At the Asmodee booth, the teams on site ran 500+ demos spotlighting Star Wars: Unlimited and Altered while some of our key new releases such as Setup, Happy Mochi, Toy Battle, 7 Wonders Duel: Battle for Middle Earth where being tried out. 🎲 Festival goers got the opportunity to check all the classics Asmodee has to offer: Dixit, Dobble, Cortex, Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders, Azul, Pandemic, Exploding Kittens, Survive the Island, Hint. This was a fantastic weekend and a great event, thanks to everyone who showed up!

Toy Battle is out now! 📣 One of the latest darlings of Board Game Arena, Toy Battle racked up nearly 150,000 plays before its official release, and it's finally available in stores today! 🦖 🤖 In this game, designed by Paolo Mori and Alessandro Zucchini, illustrated by Paul Mafayon, and published by Repos Production , an Asmodee studio, players face off in fast-paced combat to earn stars or conquer their opponent’s base.
