From feed to food, we're committed to building a healthier and more sustainable aquaculture.

  • 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵... 🐟🍽️ What we feed farmed fish and shrimp directly shapes the nutritional value of the seafood on our plates. Omega-3s, proteins and other key micronutrients don’t appear by chance... They start with feed. The challenge? Creating feeds that nourish both seafood and the planet. Microalgae, insect meal, and other new ingredients are helping lower our footprint while still ing the production of seafood that is rich in the nutrients we need. Because when feed improves, so does food. And with it, our future. 👇 Read more on why better feed is the key to better food and a better future.

That means choosing seafood from responsible aquaculture isn’t just good for your plate, it’s better for the planet too. 🌍💚 By producing more protein with fewer emissions, aquaculture s a more climate-friendly food system and helps us move towards a healthier, more responsible future. So yes, your favourite fish dish can be part of the climate solution! Isn't it great?!

  • 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 🌱 For years, soy-related emissions in feed were based on generic data, but now that’s changing. In collaboration with ProTerra, BioMar has developed verified, science-backed carbon footprint data for key soy ingredients used in aquaculture. Using satellite geospatial verification, we traced land use change over the past 20 years to get a much more accurate picture of emissions from soy production. The result? Substantial reductions in the verified carbon footprint of soy, especially important for salmon farming, where SPC plays a key role. This new data has been fully integrated into our BioSustain LCA tool, ing more precise calculations and more responsible feed sourcing. 👇 Read the full article below to learn more.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲: 🌡️ At 2°C of warming, the risks to ecosystems and communities grow dramatically. 🌡️ At 1.5°C, the impacts are still severe, but more manageable, and more lives and livelihoods can be protected. What sounds like a small difference can actually save our planet. Every fraction of a degree matters.
