Mark Greenberg (President) and Howard Freedman (Chief Financial Officer) of Capespan North America recently ed the South African procurement team on visits to citrus farms and packhouses in the Western Cape and Northern Cape. These visits formed part of the strategic preparations for the 2025 citrus season into the USA and Canada. With quality, volume, and alignment top of mind, the focus was on strengthening grower partnerships, refining supply programmes, and ensuring readiness for the key Northern Hemisphere window. Welcoming Brazil to Groot Patrysvlei 🍊🌍 On Tuesday, 6 May 2025, we had the privilege of hosting a Brazilian group of 46 visitors at Capespan’s Groot Patrysvlei farm. Facilitated by CapeAgri Tours, the visit offered an insightful look into our orchards, with a focus on different cultivars and our approach to fruit production, disease management, harvesting, and exports. With the help of a live translator and in-ear audio system, the group could engage in real time without slowing the pace of the tour. It was a great opportunity to share the scale of our operations and showcase the people, practices and ion behind our farming. A special thank you to Ruan Matthews, Manager of Groot Patrysvlei, whose amazing personality and knowledge brought the orchards to life during this technical visit. The Brazilian group also shared valuable insights into their own agricultural methods making it a meaningful two-way exchange.
