Last week, the Freeport Indonesia team from Grasberg Mine visited Sandfire MATSA operations in Huelva, Spain to see firsthand how Deswik.OPS is driving short-interval control in underground mining. The visit focused on the end-to-end implementation of Deswik.OPS, covering weekly planning, shift execution, data capture, and analytics - all designed to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. MATSA has successfully embedded Deswik.OPS into their workflows, demonstrating how a mine can challenge traditional approaches through effective change management and a commitment to continuous improvement. This visit provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange, with both teams sharing insights and learning from each other’s experiences. Thank you to everyone involved!
