We are looking for a "Sustainable Buildings Engineer" The right candidate will be responsible for developing sustainability strategies and managing the implementation of these strategies through constant coordination with all project stakeholders and design/construction teams from early stages of the project design till handover. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: * Developing LEED/WELL/EDGE/Mostadam strategies for projects in-line with the project’s sustainability aspirations. * Lead sustainability workshops with architects and engineering disciplines to explain various requirements and developing compliance strategies. * Conducting energy modelling, Daylighting, Thermal Comfort Simulations. * Develop and compile documentation for pursuit of green building certifications (LEED, Mostadam, WELL, EDGE, etc.). * Develop and present reports, meeting notes, and other documents for communicating recommendations and/or sustainable design processes. * Review preliminary drawings and construction documents to ascertain sustainable measures are incorporated appropriately. * Coordinate with all the relevant project stakeholders to ensure the project is in compliance with its sustainability targets and on track to achieving the green building rating systems requirements. * Carry out construction site inspections and site audits to the implementation of the sustainability measures during construction. Qualifications: Required: * a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, environmental studies or a related field * Knowledge of the most prevalent green building protocols (e.g., LEED, WELL, EDGE, Living Building Challenge, Fitwel) * 2-5 years’ work experience in engineering, architecture, or related discipline, with a sustainability emphasis. * Ability to read and interpret architectural/mechanical plans and construction documents. * Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills. * Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred: * An understanding of building science and building envelope design. * Ability to Carry out daylighting, facade radiation and outdoor thermal comfort simulations using DesignBuilder, Rhino, Honeybee/Ladybug and Climate Studio software. * Ability to carry out Building Life Cycle Assessment.
