When an opportunity arose to design and develop a bucket to display at ESCO division headquarters, our teams were proud to contribute their time and talents. Since our historic relocation this past March, Portland-based engineers worked alongside the manufacturing team in Covington, Kentucky, to develop a 6,385-pound ESCO® SXDP construction bucket. Employees and guests will see this product up close inside our interactive lobby. From engineering and welding to the paint job and delivery, the bucket made the more than 2,350-mile cross-country journey to Portland, Oregon, this May. Project engineers and our local facilities team witnessed the sky-high installation with the help of industrial services company, Omega Morgan, to ensure everything went off without a hitch safely. Now that the bucket has found its new home, it stands as a tangible example of our engineering and metallurgical expertise seen in every ESCO® product, as well as the innovation and collaboration that drives us here at Weir. Shoutout to the colleagues behind the bucket: Keith Teegarden, Thien Mai, Craig Blair and Tim Zumwalt of Covington; Dziugas Radzius, Anthony Wilkins and Bill Baker of Portland; and and partnership from the rest of the construction attachments and manufacturing teams. #Weir #ESCO #GlobalHeadquarters #ConstructionBucket #EngineeringExpertise #MetallurgicalExpertise

Weir heroes work here, so train like one! First aid, first response and first line of defense were some of the principles taught during a recent safety course hosted by Weir’s team in Betim, Brazil. Teammates built confidence, strengthened their emergency preparedness skills and practiced life-saving behaviors for moments of crisis. “This initiative is crucial to prepare our employees to minimize impacts and handle emergencies requiring first aid and firefighting,” shared Gabriela Mates, SHE coordinator. Thinking safety first is a principle we live by at Weir today and every day. Weir Betim’s example and engagement in this endeavor remind us that complacency is no excuse. Way to go, team! #Weir #ESCO #WeAreWeir #EmergencyPreparedness #EmployeeCulture #ZeroHarmSafety

Do you ESCO’s red briefcase and its modern-day sibling? From briefcase to backpack, another team has put their own twist on an iconic souvenir symbolizing superior service. This time in the form of a vibrant, vintage lunchbox, inspired by a 20th century Canadian miner named Leo May. May’s prestigious pail was a solution for hungry workers in mining territory looking for a seat to eat their hand-packed lunches. The team led by Sales and Operations General Manager, Mickey Obradovich, took ESCO’s red briefcase and created a new service anniversary souvenir that is uniquely their own. The vibrant lunchboxes are awarded quarterly to colleagues in Sudbury, Timmins and Lively, Ontario, Canada, in recognition of their 20 plus years of service to Weir. The latest recipients of the inaugural set included Jason Hall, Dave Kingsley, Dan Leduc, Pierre Levesque and Joey Warren. The lunchbox has been an icon for generations of families working at local mines. Mickey and his team wanted to highlight that piece of Canadian mining history with and pay homage to an ESCO division symbol. But no matter the token of appreciation, recognizing employee contributions is what Mickey says is the most important part. “Throughout my career in management and leadership, I have consistently placed importance on honoring employees' years of service,” said Mickey. “It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the genuine sense of pride people feel when achieving workplace milestones. While this gesture may not fully capture the depth of their contributions and sacrifices, it means a lot.” #Weir #ESCO #EmployeeCulture #Recognition #Mining

Another successful global town hall is done and dusted! Reporting from ESCO division headquarters in Portland, Oregon, our executives couldn’t wait to shine the spotlight on the people who inspire and the values that keep us grounded. These were the themes of this quarter’s event. Since it’s hard to put all the highlights into words, we’ll let the pictures do the talking! Sean Fitzgerald, ESCO Division President Kristin Parrott, Vice President, Human Resources Chris Rule, Site Manager of Newton, Mississippi Mark Vilardi, Director, Continuous Improvement Patricia Werner, Director, Safety, Health and Environment Photos highlight the following: Our presenters have nerves of steel as they prepare to speak. IT teammates bring their “A” game for tech setup. Some Portland employees dig into a scrumptious breakfast bar. Teams and individuals settle into the new meeting s pace and tune into the town halls. #Weir #ESCO #EmployeeCulture #TownHall #MiningTechnology #SustainableFuture #CoreValues
