Smartphones aren’t the problem, outdated attitudes are.📵 Chapter 2 of the GoStudent Education Report 2025 dives deep into the challenge of raising and educating an always-on generation and why panic isn’t the answer. In today’s classrooms and kitchen tables, one debate dominates: Should we ban smartphones and AI tools at school? However, our findings show that fear might cloud the real issue. Here’s what we found 👇 📱 52% of parents say digital tools are essential for learning, yet over half are worried about excessive screen time ❗ 95% of parents actively try to help kids spot misinformation, but 39% of parents it they struggle to tell what’s real themselves 🌐 Misinformation, social media pressure, and digital burnout are affecting students daily 🧠 The real issue? It’s not if children should use tech: it’s how. So who’s helping adults bridge the gap? Here’s the bottom line: 🔒 Blanket bans on AI or phones won’t prepare students for a digital future. 🛠️ What we need? Smarter boundaries. Digital literacy. And stronger systems for parents and teachers alike. But here’s the opportunity: 👉 Parents want to their children online, they just need the right guidance. In fact, 42% of parents regularly talk to their children about what they see online, and 36% actively teach them how to spot fake news.   👉 Teachers are looking for smarter ways to teach digital responsibility. Already, 44% encourage students to facts using multiple sources, 40% lead discussions on misinformation and critical thinking, and 25% dedicate entire lessons to tackling misinformation. Together, we can raise a generation that’s not just tech-savvy, but tech-wise.💡 It’s time to stop fighting the tools and start teaching how to use them well. From simulation-based learning to AI-powered tests, your votes told a powerful story, one that echoes what we uncovered in Chapter 1 of the GoStudent Future of Education Report 2025. 🔍 The verdict? Traditional exams are officially out of sync with today’s learners. 🧠 Teachers say traditional exams rely too heavily on memorising facts (41%), create undue stress (34%) and don’t measure the right skills (26%). ✅ 62% of parents say new ways to assess students are urgently needed. 💬 Students say they already use AI tools to improve coursework, not cheat, but to learn smarter. 📉 And 59% of parents say grades don’t accurately reflect a child’s true abilities. 🎯 74% of teachers simulation-based assessments, already used in fields like healthcare, as a more realistic and effective alternative.
