  • AI is advancing at a breakneck pace. To succeed in this period of disruption, companies need AI-enabled engineers. An AI-enabled engineer is a software developer who uses AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality. "Instead of painstakingly building 'crystal castles,' AI-enabled engineers use AI to rapidly prototype and explore multiple technical approaches simultaneously," Frank explains. Success in the AI age depends on engineers who leverage AI to work smarter, build faster, and stay ahead of the curve. Learn how to build an AI-enabled development team and why it matters in our latest blog post. https://lnkd.in/gfikHVPy #AIenabledengineers #artificialintelligence

If you're a leader, everything is your fault. Even when it's not. Someone drops the ball? You hired them, trained them, or created a system where it could happen. A deadline slips? You scoped it. Or you didn’t. Or you allowed priorities to shift without fixing the downstream impact. Culture feels off? That’s on you too. Leadership isn't about blame—it's about ownership. You carry the weight so your team can move fast, take risks, and grow. The best leaders I know don’t waste time finger-pointing. They ask, Where did I mess up? What could I have done differently? And then they fix it.

Founder & CEO of Howdy.com | YC W21 | I have many kids, many cows, and have raised many millions

The last weekend of April, we brought together over 30 managers and leaders across the Howdy team for an intensive bootcamp. Four days. Zero distractions. Just relentless focus on one question: How do we improve every part of our internal engine? Now, this may give the impression that the internal engine needed improving. That wasn't the case. Many of our stats were exceptional by industry standards. But this wasn't about being exceptional. This was about iterating to become exponential. We broke open every major process—sourcing, vetting, onboarding, training, retention, performance management, and internal tools—and gave a challenge: Excellent isn't good enough, how do we become exponential? This wasn’t a retreat. It was a sprint. This wasn’t about status updates. It was about systems redesign. And this wasn’t about being good. It was about becoming category-defining. To the team: thank you for bringing your energy, your candor, and your obsession with improvement. To our customers and greater Howdy family: every decision made this weekend was in service to you. To make your lives easier, better, and most importantly, exponential.
