The Chile Pavilion was officially inaugurated by: ◾ Diego Pardow, Chile’s Minister of Energy ◾ Carola Schouten, Mayor of Rotterdam ◾ Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam ◾ Jorge Carvajal, Chilean Ambassador to the Netherlands Representing InvestChile were Mauricio Riveros, Energy Sector Lead, and Vanessa Séverin, Investment Commissioner for Europe, alongside ProChile Netherlands’s Commercial Director, Osvaldo Marinao. Chile’s public-private delegation—over 50 representatives—also included CORFO | Chilean Economic Development Agency, The AES Corporation, Colbun S.A, Fraunhofer Chile, GASMAR SpA, ACCIONA & Nordex Green Hydrogen, Techint Group, Wood, Marval, Arcadis, Free Power, S.L., Consultoría Ambiental EINAS, Sumitomo Corporation, ECIT, and associations PRI Biobío, H2 Chile, H2 Antofagasta and H2 Magallanes. 🅽🅴🆆🆂 🗞️| As featured today in Diario Financiero, InvestChile has launched the Public Infrastructure Investment Opportunities Portal, a digital platform that provides access to documentation and relevant information on public infrastructure projects that are currently in the tendering process or in the pipeline through March 2026. Developed in partnership with the General Directorate of Concessions (DGC) at the Ministerio de Obras Públicas, the initiative aims to boost international investor access and participation in Chile’s public infrastructure tenders. The new platform has already been presented to international investors during President Gabriel Boric’s official visit to China. 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗔 🤝 | As part of his official visit to the #UnitedStates, Chile’s Minister of Economy, Nicolás Grau, and InvestChile Director, Karla Flores, participated in the event “𝑬𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆’𝒔 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔,” organized by the Inter-American Development Bank. During the event, Minister Grau presented the progress of the Chilean government’s legislative initiative to streamline the country’s investment approval processes through the Framework Bill on Sectoral Authorizations. ing virtually, Karla Flores highlighted the relevance of this reform for foreign investors: “This is an initiative long-awaited by international investors, one that enjoys broad political and will undoubtedly accelerate investment.” She added that Chile’s foreign direct investment (FDI) recovery has been remarkable: “Over the past three years, FDI inflows have averaged US$16.6 billion, 25% higher than the previous decade’s average. This is particularly notable considering that global FDI flows have fallen at an average annual rate of 9% over the same period.” According to Flores, the reform will enhance Chile’s competitiveness and ensure the country’s longstanding institutional advantages remain central in positioning Chile as a prime destination for international business operations. 👉 The United States is one of the main sources of foreign investment in Chile.
