🌊 Can your polymerase keep up with the ocean floor? In collaboration with Codebreaker Bioscience, we put #DeCodiFi to the test on one of the toughest sample types out there—marine sediments from #salmon farming regions in southern #Chile. 🔍 Here’s what we uncovered: • 18 high-quality Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs) recovered, including Beggiatoales, a key sulfur-cycling order.  • Higher MAGs completeness (95.8%) and lower contamination (1.1%) were observed compared to a commonly used HiFi Polymerase.  • Larger #genome sizes,  more coding sequences, and improved genome coverage for complex microbial communities.
