We are at a critical turning point for global health. And we are staying the course. In 2022, Novartis pledged USD 250 million over five years to advance research and development for neglected tropical diseases and malaria. But we didn't stop there. Based on strong potential for breakthrough treatments, we are now expected to have almost doubled our funding to USD 490m by the end of 2025. This has allowed us to build the largest pipeline for neglected tropical diseases, according to the Access to Medicines Index. Alongside new compounds for malaria to combat rising drug resistance, we’re advancing promising candidates for: 🦠 Leishmaniasis 🧫 Cryptosporidiosis 🦴 Dengue (also known as ‘break-bone’) fever 🐞 Chagas disease Harnessing our unique combination of technology, science and expertise, we’re working on breakthroughs that can help address the needs of millions of people.
