Immersion in the Chilean Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem
In March, a delegation of students from Mercer University, Georgia, USA, visited Chile as part of their study program. The visit, organized by Academic Programs International (API) , included high-value academic, cultural, and tourism activities for the participants.
"These experiences allow students to gain a deeper understanding of the economic and social context of the countries they visit, enriching their education and global perspective," highlighted Claudia R. Aliaga Fernández, Resident Director of API in Santiago, Chile.
As part of the agenda, the students met with Josefa Villarroel, expert in entrepreneurship programs and founder of the OPEM. During the session, they explored data and comparative studies on the Chilean entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as real-life cases and unique aspects that sparked insightful questions and reflections.
In the second part of this activity, organized by API with the participation of OPEM, the students delved deeper into Chile’s economic and political system alongside economist and productive development expert Francisco Javier Meneses Mellado
Among the organizations that were part of this week of activities were ProChile, Hub Providencia, and Hub APTA, providing students with a comprehensive perspective on Chile’s business and innovation environment.
