With 2000+ , Tchelinux is one of the largest Free Software groups in South America. By organizing free technical conferences to promote FOSS in several cities in South of Brazil, Tchelinux helps new s and encourages charity. Since 2006, the group has organized 103 conferences, attended by more than 12934 people, and collected over 18 tons of food for donation to charity. In 2019, the group organized 15 events attended by over 2157 participants that donated almost 2 tons of food to local charities.
