Securing critical-mineral supply chains across the G7 was a central focus for Business leaders at the B7 Summit in Ottawa this week. Ian Anderson, Teck’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, shared Teck’s role as a Canadian producer of critical metals the world needs for economic growth and energy security across G7 nations.

Providing a sense of calm, focus and comfort for children with autism spectrum disorder is the goal of the TEA (Trastorno del Espectro Autista) Room project in Andacollo, Chile, ed by the Somos Teck Competitive Fund, a corporate volunteer initiative for employees. We proudly recognize Teck’s ambassador on this project - William Herrera, Head of Reliability and Major Maintenance at our Carmen de Andacollo Operations – and his work with the Súmate Avanza group of Andacollo to bring it to life.

As part of our journey of Reconciliation, Teck is committed to observing Moose Hide Campaign Day alongside Indigenous Peoples to acknowledge, understand and bring awareness to the history and ongoing impacts of colonization and in particular, the disproportionate impacts faced by Indigenous women, girls, Two Spirit people and all those along the gender continuum.

We recognize that access to clean and sufficient water is a human right, and that water is essential to the communities in the watersheds where we operate. In La Serena, Chile, our Carmen de Andacollo Operations is an active member of the Elqui Bajo Alfalfares Water Resources Board, working with the community and public and private organizations to make responsible decisions about this invaluable resource. https://ow.ly/IfOe50VOFsJ

Our enabled hands-on invasive species training and education at schools and in communities across several regions within the interior of British Columbia, advancing ISCBC’s vision for healthy landscapes and a more resilient future for ecosystems and biodiversity.

Seizing opportunity: Teck’s Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs, Marcella Munro , ed Michael Goehring , President and CEO of the Mining Association of BC, to explore how the mining sector can play a significant role in our economy by responsibly producing critical minerals, creating well‑paying jobs, strengthening communities, advancing economic reconciliation and securing lasting economic opportunities.

At Teck, mental health is an important part of our goal of everyone going home safe and healthy every day. That’s why we’ve made mental wellbeing a priority, including through a pilot training program with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Today on Red Dress Day we honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People. Indigenous women are disproportionately impacted by violence, facing rates of harm more than 12 times higher than other women in Canada.
