That is the principle of TRASLADOR. Using as the basis of its translations GoogleTranslate, TRASLADOR randomly generates a cycle going through 7 different languages and returns the sentence, in the end, to the original language in which it was written.
Naturally, because of the unattainable accuracy of translations, the sentence returns to its original language in a different form…What would happen if a sentence went around the world and got back to the country of its origin?
That is the principle of TRASLADOR. Using as the basis of its translations GoogleTranslate, TRASLADOR randomly generates a cycle going through 7 different languages and returns the sentence, in the end, to the original language in which it was written.
Naturally, because of the unattainable accuracy of translations, the sentence returns to its original language in a different form, metamorphosed.
And what would happen if this already metamorphosed sentence went through the same languages in the same order again?
Well, the tendency is that the sentence transforms itself again. However, by continually repeating this process, at a certain point this metamorphosis stagnates. In other words, we arrive at a sentence that when translated to the same languages and order as before returns to its original language in the exact same way.
For example, lets take the following sentence: “Went around the world and bit its own tail.”
Thus, the results of the cycles are these from the first sentence:
“Went around the world and bit its own tail.”
“I went around world, eating its own tail.”
“And his tail, he did eat came into the world.”
“Tail was born.”
“He was born with a tail.”
Naturally, if you take the first sentence and translate it into other languages (or even in the same languages but in a different order) the result becomes different. Also, it may occur that the stagnation of the metamorphosis takes place within a different number of cycles.
TRASLADOR operates this entire process automatically from the sentence you write and give you the result in its original language.
In this project I used Python, Django, jQuery, Gunicorn, Nginx, Postgres, Reverse Ajax(Comet), Google API's.
The deploy was done in an AWS/EC2 micro instance.
