U and RAM Performance Assessment for Different Marker Types in Augmented Reality Applications

Augmented Reality is becoming commonplace in the area of the mobile application development industry and academia. Augmented Reality is becoming commonplace in the area of the mobile application development industry and academia. These experiences on smartphones allowed a new world of experiences in the 's daily life. Wide approaches such as fiducial markers or natural markers can be used to generate different scenarios and interactions. Two of the most important concerns are the limitations of resources in mobile devices and the consequent computational inefficiency. Thus, an important question to be raised in development teams is how the different parts that make up an AR experience can affect the performance of a mobile device and consequently the end- experience. Therefore, in this work we performed a quantitative assessment in of overall U and RAM usage when applying different marker types to mobile development. The results obtained are statistically significant and show that the use of markers with a fewer number of vertices, such as a sphere performs better than others like a pyramid or a cube. With our results, we aim to provide a convenient means for technical leaders and development teams to reach an adequate decision when choosing a marker for generating new AR experiences.

U performance assessment for a non-interactive application in cross-platform mobile frameworks
CONAIISI 2019 - ISSN: 2347-0372 - ISBN 978-987-4417-73-2
In the current industry of mobile applications, several development frameworks have emerged for different implementation purposes. In the current industry of mobile applications, several development frameworks have emerged for different implementation purposes. Generally, software products in mobile applications are intended to be implemented on at least two important mobile platforms, namely Android and iOS. In an effort to enhance productivity in this context, development teams rely on cross-platform frameworks for software production. To this end, widely used approaches, such as Hybrid, Interpreted and Progressive Web Apps (PWA) provide a convenient means to write a single code for multiple implementation contexts, improving software quality in of development time and maintainability. An important issue regarding mobile development is software performance. Thus, an important question to be raised in development teams is the selection for an appropriate framework in order to obtain software that works with an acceptable level of performance in mobile devices. An interesting example of performance- challenging code within a non-interactive use case is John Conway's Game of Life (GoL). Therefore, in this work we performed a quantitative assessment in of overall U usage when applying GoL to mobile development, comparing examples of each approach, such as Ionic, React Native and React.js. The results obtained are statistically significant and show that the use of Ionic framework performs better than React Native and React.js when implementing GoL as a use case of non-interactive application. With our results, we aim to provide a convenient means for technical leaders and development teams to reach an adequate decision for a framework to be used in mobile software projects.

They have been based in the faculties of Political Science and RRII of the National University of Rosario and Tourism and Hospitality, Systems Engineering and Graphic Design of the Open Inter-American University (UAI). The approach of this project was carried out by educational researchers, students and technicians of the Ministry of Tourism of the Rosario's Government, considering the development of accessible interfaces focused on different groups with some disability.
In addition, an app (Rosario En Movimiento) was developed with the purpose of facilitating access to tourism for people with reduced mobility.

Some of the tasks that I've been responsible for were:
* Managing a team of +10 people (including different roles: Artists, 3D model designers, 2D designers, SFX, Voiceovers, QAs and Developers).
* Understanding and representing stakeholder needs.
* Defining a vision for a product.
* Aligning stakeholders around the vision for the product.
* Prioritizing game features and capabilities.
* Creating a shared brain across the different roles.
* Coordination tasks for implementation with the client.
This game is currently implemented in the largest amusement park in Argentina (Parque de La Costa), running in 4 headsets at the same time, with more than 200 matches per day.Otros creadores -
