SGC is a publishing platform for all companies in Itaú Group to generate periodic investor relations and regulatory agencies reports in three languages in which aggregated the tasks from 300+ actors including: financial analysts, independent auditors, design agencies, translation services and the board of directors.
The solution was built on top of Microsoft SharePoint and OpenXML, the editors used SharePoint’s document management features (access control, content types, approval workflows, change management) to edit individual fragments from the full report and the reviewers used a custom developed solution to combine all fragments (200+ word documents, excel spreadsheets and images) into a full report.
The custom developed solution dealt with issues as OLE links updates between Word and Excel files, filtering documents according to approval state, managing review marks, automatic generation of content (table of contents, numbering, header and footer from a single template), resolving formatting and style conflicts and much more. This report generation was triggered from the Web Front-End SharePoint servers using WCF services and asynchronous processing, enabling the generation of multiple full 200+ pages report in less than 10 seconds.
The technical solution also had features as site copying (e.g.: copy the reporting from 1st quarter 2014 to 2nd quarter 2014, fixing links between documents and other metadata issues), site locking (batch removing permissions from old reports for regulatory reasons), site export/import (so the could export the Word documents - originally in Portuguese - to a translation services agency and then then back in English and Spanish).

InfraWeb is a custom development toolkit designed to help developers at Itaú BBA (an investment bank branch from Itaú) create web applications using Microsoft ASP.NET.
The toolkit was target to outsourced developers with little web development knowledge aiming to migrate classic ASP web sites and refactor ASP.NET web site without making concessions to engineering quality.

InfraWeb is a custom development toolkit designed to help developers at Itaú BBA (an investment bank branch from Itaú) create web applications using Microsoft ASP.NET.
The toolkit was target to outsourced developers with little web development knowledge aiming to migrate classic ASP web sites and refactor ASP.NET web site without making concessions to engineering quality.
This was possible using dynamic http modules to extend the developed pages with services (e.g.: master page replacing, business services proxies, analytics services and more).
It also enabled the developers to manage their components using a loosely-coupled dependency injection engine, so it was possible to automatically unit test all new web pages (changing the concrete implementation of dependent objects using mock classes). Mostrar menos

The NFe (stands for ‘electronic invoice’) is a system responsible for invoice and logistics electronic processing at Brazilian industries. The company must generate a signed XML document containing invoice, transport and taxes data to one of the 26 state’s web services, before transporting the goods outside the factories.

The NFe (stands for ‘electronic invoice’) is a system responsible for invoice and logistics electronic processing at Brazilian industries. The company must generate a signed XML document containing invoice, transport and taxes data to one of the 26 state’s web services, before transporting the goods outside the factories.
The IRS module served as a central endpoint for all the 26 states invoices and also a contingency solution in the event of downtime at a state. This module was built using custom developed WCF services and heavy partitioned SQL Server Databases.
With such a high throughput the database was built using date/time based partitions and the solution included automatic reallocation of partitions in order to create a ‘sliding window’ in which new invoices where stored at high performance disks and older invoices were stored in cost-effective disks. The interface used XSLT to convert the XML invoice to HTML web pages used by the taxpayers.
The off-the-shelf product is a product used to integrate the SMB customer ERP and legacy systems to NFe platform using Microsoft BizTalk using features as multi-tenant, dynamic routing and mappings, multiple schema versions side by side, public-key infrastructure (and integration with HSMs), multiple adapters (e.g.: SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, EDI, and more).
