  • V-Casting 2 - High available online stream system

    Has led a team responsible for planning and develop a high available and scalable software of media streaming.
    Besides software itself, important achievements were decision
    - decision to use public cloud (Amazon AWS), even when cloud adoption by companies was in its early stages
    - delivered a very high scalable / elastic system, allowing to grow from 1K concurrent s to more than 1 million in few minutes
    - decision to use new programing paradigms, by adopting non blocking…

    Besides software itself, important achievements were decision
    - decision to use public cloud (Amazon AWS), even when cloud adoption by companies was in its early stages
    - delivered a very high scalable / elastic system, allowing to grow from 1K concurrent s to more than 1 million in few minutes
    - decision to use new programing paradigms, by adopting non blocking languages, distributed memory, web sockets, document-oriented databases
    - management of a multidisciplinar team, composed by employees and partners

  • Goodyear - Outsourcing of IT and Development

    -

    As a Project Manager I was responsible for lead the team in charge of all IT legacy systems of Goodyear LATAM units, spread over nine countries in North, Central and South Américas.

    Project had a peak of ~50 team with a variety of skills: module leaders, quality assurance, technicians of Windows, AS400, mix of programming languages (.Net, Java, Lotus Notes, RPG, ...), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Java, .NET) with Hyperion addressing BI.

    Avantis, Prism…

    As a Project Manager I was responsible for lead the team in charge of all IT legacy systems of Goodyear LATAM units, spread over nine countries in North, Central and South Américas.

    Project had a peak of ~50 team with a variety of skills: module leaders, quality assurance, technicians of Windows, AS400, mix of programming languages (.Net, Java, Lotus Notes, RPG, ...), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Java, .NET) with Hyperion addressing BI.

    Avantis, Prism were the ERPs ed. Those systems were replaced (migration) by SAP and Peoplesoft.

    One of the biggest challenges was to get all the team and transform them in a Project Team. Also, customer management was a big deal, since Project was in troubles when I started as Project Manager for it: delays on deliveries, quality problem, process not followed, no Performance Indexes, team coming from a variety of third parties. After six months of my tenure the customer satisfaction grew to 100%.
