    The presence of digital games is increasing in daily life, being currently found in different platforms such as mobile devices and computers. Thus the challenge arises in keeping the player’s interest in an innovative and saturated market. In this context, in order to provide the best gaming experience to players, various techniques are used, such as Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (DDA) systems, which adapt the difficulty of a game based on the player’s performance or affective state. In this work, a comparative analysis was performed between ADD models in a game of the Platform / Shooter genre, with the objective of ascertaining if a Hybrid system is more efficient in providing compatible challenges to the players’ abilities and in keeping them in a state of immersion that systems that are not adaptive or that only consider the player’s performance. For that, a game was adapted to collect performance data, questionnaires and physiological data of the players, as well as the implementation of a Performance ADD model and a Hybrid to this one. Tests were performed with the models, collecting several data from the participants. After analysis, the Hybrid model proved to be more efficient in providing challenges compatible with the players’ abilities and keeping them in a state of immersion.
