The Querido Diário project's goal is to free the documents used by the Brazilian counties to make public all their acts, law, acquisitions, and any other information relevant to the public. By law, all the documents should be public for everyone. But public is not the same as accessible. Every county could define how to write and where to publish these documents. Usually formats like pdf or doc files. Which difficult social control of this information at scale by machines.

The Querido Diário platform collects all the document from hundreds of different sources, processes them and give access to all this information through a single point. We have crawlers collecting all the documents in daily bases, a data processing pipeline that extracts the text, processes it, indexes it, and gives access via an API.
