This security company focused on ID recovery and protection wants to expand its presence overseas and is looking for an IT partner to breakdown and modularize its IT infrastructure. TW was brought in to do a quick proof of concept for modularizing a notification component that interfaces 3rd party providers. We did so in 10 weeks with 5 developers, delivering above and beyond what the client expected.

The result was a small, modularized, REST microservice developed with Java Spring Boot. The service has its own CI pipeline, healthy test coverage and is deployable through Ansible playbooks. By the end of 2016 this Financial company had been struggling for two years to integrate the new services it acquired by buying a fintech startup. TW was asked to help delivering the integration and at the same time enabling agile methodologies within the development team, as the IT department was going through a 5 year agile transformation plan without much result.

Suffering with fast retail disruption and competitors shorter product development cycles, this big apparel US based retail company started a multi year program to reposition product development at the center of their business. As part of this program, Thoughtworks were brought in to enable multiple agile teams to deliver a new supply chain infrastructure that better leverage the fine grained analytics the company developed throughout the years.

I started at this project as local Recife manager and as the client asked for more work to be done from Recife, I've found myself co-managing a 70+ people - one of the biggest s at TW Brazil at the time - spread over 3 cities and 2 countries. - In the first few years, design the architecture, develop main components and modularize the application so that we could easily configure and deploy for new clients.
- Later on I was managing the development team and then working as product manager. During such time, my job was to interact with clients and potential clients, and maintain a successful release plan.
