    With the request for comfort and home security, this research proposes the development of an automation system to facilitate the control of some devices and the management of energy and water resources, as well as a module to increase the security. The automation system is embedded in a Raspberry Pi, and there also offer communication interfaces implemented in form of a REST (representational state transfer) web service. The interface that provides the components for the to control and management of the automation system is available for the Android platform. It is expected that in this system all relevant requirements for home automation were efficiently attended and with free technologies and tools, still providing the possibility of further expansion, such as other platforms for management and control of the embedded system by the .
