AUTOMATION QA ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Automation QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a U.S.-based fintech company, specializing in open banking payment solutions. Their flagship product enables merchants to accept direct bank payments from customers, offering a secure, low-cost alternative to traditional card transactions. This solution can reduce processing fees by up to 80%, lower fraud risks, and minimize customer churn. This solution leverages open banking technology for real-time, -to- (A2A) transactions, allowing merchants to generate and share payment links via SMS or email, providing an easy, no-code way to collect payments. It also offers SDKs and APIs for web, mobile, and app integration, simplifying adoption for merchants. The San Francisco-based company’s products are designed to serve the electronic commerce industry.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, REST Assured, TestNG, Postman, Playwright).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of API testing and automation tools (e.g., REST Assured, JMeter).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to analyze complex software systems and design effective testing strategies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, S3, DynamoDB).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and update test scripts as application features evolve.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios to cover a wide range of edge cases.
• Perform manual testing when necessary to ensure application quality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve them.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality standards and best practices.
• Provide on design and stories to ensure testability and quality.
• Communicate test results, metrics, and issues to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and techniques.
