Position Overview:
HyperStrong is seeking a driven and experienced Manager or Sr. Manager of Business Development to lead the company’s commercial efforts in Chile’s utility-scale energy storage market. This role will the strategic deployment of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions and contribute to business growth by cultivating strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including utilities, developers, and EPCs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer needs, regulatory frameworks, and market trends in Chile to inform and execute business development strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities and build long-term partnerships with local developers, utilities, and other key players in the energy sector.
- Prepare and deliver customized technical and commercial proposals that address customer requirements and maximize value.
- Collaborate with global engineering, operations, and product teams to align on solution offerings, project timelines, and delivery standards.
- Participate in product reviews and efforts to localize BESS solutions for the Chilean market.
- Contribute to the development of after-sales strategies and service partnerships to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
- Represent HyperStrong at local conferences, trade shows, and industry events to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in the energy sector, ideally in BESS, solar, or renewable project development in Chile.
- Proven experience in business development, project origination, or commercial roles within the Chilean energy market.
- Solid knowledge of the local energy landscape, including PMGD programs, CNE regulations, and commercial contract structures (e.g., PPAs).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in Spanish and English.
- Ability to assess commercial opportunities, build financial justifications, and close deals.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel as required within Chile and occasionally abroad.
