We are seeking an experienced and talented Software Engineer to our Engineering team. The successful candidate will focus on integrating a recently acquired background check product into the Checkr ecosystem, building a robust foundation for a complex identity verification solution.

In this role, the Developer Engineer I will be responsible for the near-term integration of new background check solutions into Checkr. This includes working on data vendor integrations and developing the system into a long-term identity verification platform. The current background check solution features several public APIs, both public and internal portals, and a range of microservices.

What You’ll Do

• Own the product development from ideation, design, implementation, to release
• Collaborate with other engineers and product managers on deg and architecting new systems
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code
  
  

What You Bring

• 2+ years of industry experience as a software engineer working with Python
• Familiarity with Scrum rituals (sprint planning, daily standup, sprint review and retrospective)
• Experience with AWS
• Experience deg and implementing REST APIs
• Experience working with data stores such as Postgres, MongoDB
• Experience with Git, GitLab or Github and PR/MR review process
• A ion for optimizing services for scale and speed
• A great desire to learn, collaborate, improve, and innovate
