The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration thru site development to production.

What role you will play in our team

• As a Site Reliability Engineer you will pair traditional system istration practices with automation and software development skills to run technical applications of the Oil and Gas industry.
• Our office is located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires and you will interact with engineers and s from all around the world.
  
  

What you will do

• Manage and automate the operations of bare metal & virtual infrastructure.
• Develop infrastructure as code in of existing infrastructure automation initiatives in an Agile environment.
• Proactively build and implement platforms to enable reliable business capabilities.
• Manage tools for performance monitoring, alerting, capacity and utilization management and service recovery.
• Work in close coordination with architects, engineering teams, analysts and stakeholders in a dynamic environment to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in platform and systems security reviews (authorization, authentication, security best practices, etc.)
  
  

About You

• Manage tools for monitoring, alerting, configuration management, automation and other relevant software applications
• Develop infrastructure as code in of existing infrastructure automation initiatives in an Agile environment
• Document process automation and update security standards for said process
• Work in close coordination with architects, Engineering teams, analysts and stakeholders in a dynamic environment to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions
• Platform and systems security awareness (authorization, authentication, security best practices, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.
• Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Working experience in an Agile organization
• Continuous learning mindset
• Hands-on experience with programming languages
• Prior experience working with Linux (e.g. installation, configuration and istration)
• Demonstrable technical skills on backend services including setup, istration, scaling and monitoring
• Understanding of network core concepts (e.g. proxy, VLANS, Firewall, IP addressing, ExpressRoute)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates or similar technologies
• General knowledge about REST API's best practices
