We are looking for our next Director of Digital Channel Development, whose purpose is developing the project roaps, tactical execution plans, performance indicators and overall direction for Online, Mobile, Wearables and other channels in the Banking IT Division for the Customer management, sales, post-sales services, fraud, transactions and product management touchpoints of the customer journey. The position is able for all the digital developments and services. The incumbent is a subject-matter-expert in digital developments and has a strong understanding of emerging digital technologies.
Additionally, s/he is responsible for operational efficiencies and effectiveness and ing key digital initiatives across the bank.
Responsabilities:
• Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
1. Strategic Direction and Development:
-Establishes the strategic direction of a multidisciplinary team that leads the design and execution of strategies and projects (Agile and related disciplines) for digital banking channels.
-Create development plans to maximize the reuse of components and promote existing capabilities for new projects.
-Ensures alignment of strategies with corresponding retail, wealth and wholesale banking strategies.
-Manages multiple strategic projects related to the development cross channel on all related digital services capabilities.
2. Develop ‘best-in-class’ Channel capabilities:
-Formulates, leads and directs the development of initiatives & products designed to increase NPS, customer satisfaction, loyalty indicators, Sales, Post sale services satisfaction and in general services indicators (transactions, processes, fraud) and usage based on the retail, wealth and wholesale banking strategy.
-Directs the development and implementation of related metrics for measure, evaluate and benchmark service performance.
-Identifies external benchmark providers and continually benchmarks current capabilities against best-in-class globally.
-Maintains awareness of emerging digital best practices.
3. Digital Development strategy:
-Directs the development and implementation of strategies based on competitors benchmarks and banks goals as a partner for the retail, wealth and wholesale banking strategies.
-Partners and collaborates with internal departments to design, build and deliver an industry-leading customer experience (Digital customer design, Digital Sales, Business Lines; IT&S; Marketing; Branch Customer Experience, Customer Centers)
4. Financial and Operational Business Excellence:
-Establishes and maintains industry-leading standards for operational and business excellence, consistent and in keeping with industry best practices and Bank Standards (e.g. service standards, audit, compliance, regulatory, operational risk.
-Works with OyM to ensure the necessary operating systems, policies, procedures, resources and structures are in place and are maintained to effectively achieve the standards for operational and business excellence.
-Ensures the overall cost management of the related Channels by developing and implementing a process of continuous improvement and cost containment.
-Relationship manager for vendor/supplier relationships.
• Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
• Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
• Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
Functional Competencies:
• Engenieer, 10 years experience in IT.
• Expert knowledge of online, mobile and wearable elements and operating environments (models; technologies; OkRs,KPI’s/metrics) preferably in a retail, wealth and wholesale sales.
• Expert knowledge of emerging digital trends and best practices in other verticals.
• Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s application systems and their relationship within the Bank.
• Thorough knowledge of banking retail, wealth and wholesale products, including operating procedures and policies.
• A demonstrated track record of delivering key projects in the bank.
• Thorough knowledge of the Chilean banking financial products marketplace, customer segments, and the Bank’s
relative competitive position within those market areas.
• Thorough knowledge of legal and compliance regulations related to digital channels.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, with problem solving skills that are creative, innovative and pragmatic.
• Technical skill, based on Agility development method, scrum, devops and development pipelines.
