Head of Audit

This position is responsible for establishing, directing, overseeing, and executing the overall audit approach and company-specific plans; ensuring an independent and objective view of the company's activities and functions, as well as compliance with the annual internal audit plan in a timely manner; continuously reassessing the company's inherent operational risk, taking into changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, as well as operating procedures; identifying and communicating existing and emerging risks, as well as significant findings, in a timely and proactive manner; explaining audit coverage and results, and identifying new opportunities where Internal Audit can add value; participate in audit and risk management committees, and other relevant governance meetings; and being the main with external stakeholders, e.g. regulators, external audit, etc.

Requirements:

• University/college degree, preferably in ing, Auditing or similar.
• Desirable to hold a professional certification (A, CIA, or CAMS)
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial products and related risks and controls.
• Advanced English language command, both oral and written (mandatory requirement)
• Behaviour aligned to values and culture at HSBC.
• Strong managerial, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, lateral thinking and interpersonal skills.
• High commitment to drive and coordinate change and motivate and develop people.
• Ability to work independently in an agile environment with multiple stakeholders both locally and globally.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including 3 years in audit roles or related areas.
