Essential Functions

• Maintain and evolve the current React (v18) + TypeScript frontend.
• Lead the transition from legacy code to a modern, scalable frontend architecture.
• Collaborate closely with Product teams to define, scope, and prioritize work effectively.
• Write and maintain automated tests using React Testing Library.
• Contribute actively to backend code using Node.js and develop REST APIs.
• Perform code reviews and participate actively in pull requests using Bitbucket.
• Develop and maintain scripts (Python or equivalent) to automate internal processes such as data extraction and synchronization.
• Write efficient SQL queries ing data reporting in Metabase.
• Proactively suggest and implement UX improvements, particularly in scenarios with limited design resources.
  
  

Technical Skills (Must-haves)

• Core understanding of JavaScript (5+ years).
• Strong expertise in React v18 and TypeScript (5+ years).
• Backend development with Node.js and REST API design (5+ years).
• AWS cloud services and microservices development (5+ years).
• Experience with frontend testing, preferably React Testing Library.
• Proficiency in automation scripting (Python or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of MySQL 7; experience with Redis caching.
• Advanced SQL skills for writing efficient and performant queries.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and guide architectural design of systems.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design, algorithms, data structures, networking, database design, and optimization.
• Experience with Bitbucket, detailed documentation practices, and working within Agile methodologies (5+ years).
  
  

Technical Skills (nice To Have)

• Experience with Bubble.io.
• Prior work in fintech or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Metabase or similar BI tools.
• Interest in improving internal documentation and processes.
