Reflecting on the Swiss Infrastructure Day 2025 👇   🤝 With more than 100 participants, the annual Team Switzerland Infrastructure event provided access for Swiss companies to large-scale infrastructure projects around the world:   🌍 Our infrastructure experts from 🇧🇷 🇮🇳 🇮🇩 🇦🇪 presented current project opportunities in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and the Middle East, including SERV Swiss Export Risk Insurance. The fair is the main platform to connect between different health sectors, offering many business and networking opportunities. 💰TAX REFORM 🇧🇷. ARE YOU READY? The Swiss Business Hub Brazil in collaboration with SWISSCAM Câmara de Comércio Suíço-Brasileira had the pleasure to welcome many Swiss companies at the Swiss Consular Residence in São Paulo for a discussion on the tax reform.   While the tax reform aims to reduce the complexity of the current tax system and the cost of compliance, the local companies are dealing with uncertainties and a high workload to learn, train, prepare and adapt the systems and operational procedures. The participants received an update on the tax reform from Dr. H. Philip Schneider, partner at Schneider Pugliese. Marcello Veiga, Tax Director at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, Fernanda Tezari Gonçalves, Tax Manager at Novartis Brasil and Flavinia Alvarenga Silva, Head of ing, Tax & Treasury at Elevadores Atlas Schindler explained how their companies are preparing for the tax reform.   These are our take aways   💰 The tax reforms starts in 2026 and is completed in 2033 💰 Early engagement of all key s and good communication are key  💰 Tax departments assume a vital leadership role 💰 Plan from A to Z (from supply to sales) 💰 Update of ERP systems necessary (can’t be 6 versions below latest release) 💰 Contract a competent consulting firm 💰 Consider the effects of your current contracts with suppliers and customers 💰 The tax system will be simplified 💰 Tax rates are not defined 💰 Local tax benefits will be discontinued by 2032 💰 A selective tax will tax unhealthy products higher and reduce tax burden of healthy products 💰 Maintain your team’s mental health   Expect zero tax: Medical devices, drugs, products of basic care, some food products Expect high tax reduction: Education services, health services, medical devices, drugs, some food products, personal hygiene products Expect service tax reduction: istration, law firms, architects, social assistants, biologists, ants, engineers etc.   A special thank you goes to Pierre Hagmann, Consul General of Switzerland in São Paulo, Mariana Badra of SWISSCAM Câmara de Comércio Suíço-Brasileira, H.
