What an inspiring day at SENAI CIMATEC in Salvador! The highlight: the brilliant Leibniz Lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Elisabeth André from Universität Augsburg, concluding a day full of exchange, insight, and dialogue. As a recipient of the prestigious Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize (2021), granted by the German Research Foundation (DFG), she not only shared her groundbreaking work on human-centred AI, but also engaged deeply with students and early-career researchers about their own projects and ideas. We were also fortunate to tour the SENAI CIMATEC and visit several of the university’s research labs. Also, we discussed opportunities for future collaboration. A very special thank you to Professor Ingrid Winkler, PhD and the SENAI CIMATEC, whose excellent organization made this visit possible. We are also grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality throughout the day. Next stop: São Paulo, where Elisabeth André will the 11th German-Brazilian Dialogue on Science, Research and Innovation organized by DWIH São Paulo as keynote speaker. #CIMATEC #LeibnizLecture #AI #xVR #HumanCenteredAI #AcademicCollaboration #DFG
