In , the first large hybrid parks with photovoltaics and DC-coupled battery storage have been connected to the grid—made possible by the innovation tender.   An important step towards a more flexible, more economical and more robust energy system. This marks an important step toward a more flexible, cost-efficient, and resilient energy system.   Such PV-storage combinations offer clear advantages: ✔️ Enable arbitrage by selling electricity when prices are high ✔️ Avoid losses during periods of negative electricity prices ✔️ Improve overall grid stability   Thanks to Lukas Mogg, Technical Project Manager at Green Energy 3000 for sharing his experience in implementing such projects.

Major progress at the #BESS Metelen site near Münster, one of the largest battery storage systems in to date. SMA’s battery inverters and Power Plant Manager have now been fully delivered, marking a key milestone in the construction phase. The grid connection is scheduled for the second half of 2025.   At the heart of the system: ✅ 31 Medium Voltage Power Stations incl. Sunny Central Storage 3800 UP XT ✅ 62 MC battery cubes, each housing 8 racks ✅ SMA Power Plant Manager for intelligent plant operation ✅ Integrated real-time monitoring of the whole plant   With 92.5 MW of installed power and a storage capacity of 231 MWh, the Metelen battery park will play a key role in delivering ancillary services and enhancing grid resilience. This achievement reflects the strength of SMA’s storage solutions, enabling large-scale battery parks worldwide.   Project development and EPC services are being delivered by SMA Altenso, including battery park construction, substation erection and grid connection.    🙏 Big thanks to everyone involved for their great teamwork on this project! Bright sunshine and strong legs: The SMA Cycling Team participated in this year's Tour d'Energie around Göttingen, .   The SMA Cycling Team rode with sporting ambition on the 100-kilometer route, ultimately securing 13th place.   Six colleagues took on the long and short 45-kilometer routes with equal ambition and made good time.   Congratulations to everyone who overcame their inner demons, conquered the mountains, and embodied the SMA spirit on their bikes! SMA completed the first quarter of 2025 in line with expectations. Group sales reached €327.7 million compared with €361.8 million in the first quarter of 2024.   The Large Scale & Project Solutions segment posted significant sales growth again. Sales in the Home Solutions and Commercial & Industrial Solutions segments in the first quarter of 2025 were significantly influenced by a normalized demand situation, coupled with still partially high inventory levels at distributors and installers. As planned, the operating performance of the Home Solutions and C&I segments was lower than in the same quarter of the previous year. Welcome Kaveh! The Supervisory Board of SMA has appointed Kaveh Rouhi as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The 46-year-old has been Senior Vice President Finance & Controlling since Juli 2024 and tly responsible for the development and implementation of the ongoing restructuring and transformation program since September. Kaveh Rouhi has many years of experience in the international finance and services industry, including at a leading strategy consultancy, and extensive expertise in the areas of strategy development, business planning and controlling, and M&A. We would like to thank our former CFO Barbara Gregor, who has left the company on her own request, for her extraordinary commitment and her achievements. We are optimistic about the future of SMA: Together with CEO Jürgen Reinert and CTrO Olaf Heyden, the three-member Executive Board remains relentless in reshaping our future — deploying a leaner product lineup, pioneering fresh market strategies, and elevating every customer touchpoint through exceptional service and uncompromising quality — to reignite SMA’s trajectory toward lasting success.
