Claro Americas is a Brazilian company part of América Móvil, a Mexican telecom group. Claro serves clients in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. We migrated some virtual machines from the on premise environment to the Google Cloud Platform, in this process we also enabled the rightsizing of some machines to reduce costs after the migration.

Migrate's invoice issuing service saved blob files within columns in the SQL server database, the tables had about 20TB and more than 80% of this volume was from the files stored within the relational database, its query was slow and indexing was impractical.
