    This dissertation aims to analyze the relevance of Corporate Governance in crisis environments through the boards of directors (BoCs), investigating their performance and relevance as a collegiate in the face of 15 companies surveyed, through interviews with of the board of directors of companies operating in various sectors and of different sizes. The research method used in this study is qualitative and exploratory, with data collection carried out in the field through semi-structured interviews. The interviews with of the board of directors and independent directors were carried out throughout the years 2021 and 2022 with the purpose of identifying, through the transcription of the dialogues, speeches that are related to the research assumptions. In addition to the interview transcripts, text mining was used as a qualitative analysis method, through word clouds and statistical graphs of word frequency. The main results of this research explain how boards brought to companies in crisis perspectives and directions derived from the sharing of experiences lived on other boards. There has also been a change in the agenda of boards of directors, in which began to discuss very short-term matters and to encourage more tactical than strategic discussions, thus making the collegiate board closer and more active in relation to the company's senior management. No less relevant, the study identified how boards of directors were key players in the digital transformation process of the companies studied. Finally, the active role of Boards of Directors in monitoring the company's liquidity was verified, making cash flow management even more essential in times of crisis. In the view of the sample studied, it is concluded that the presence of active boards of directors and effectively engaged with crisis management, led companies to face turbulent moments in a less traumatic and costly way.
